New Tool Available Soon for Home Health Providers
This summer, Home Health Agencies (HHAs) will have the benefit of a new tool to help assess the risk for improper Medicare Payments. The TMF Health Quality Institute is developing a new PEPPER report for HHAs.
PEPPER, which stands for Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report, provides provider-specific Medicare data statistics for discharges/services vulnerable to improper payments. The data can help identify both potential overpayments as well as potential underpayments.
The new report will be made available to HHAs beginning in July. Additional information on PEPPER can be found here.
More details including information about report distribution will be added to the PEPPER site once it becomes available and HHA’s can sign up to join the TMF PEPPER email list by acecssing the following URL, scrolling down to Home Health Agencies and clicking the “Join Our email list” link.
Providers will also be able to see a preview of the upcoming report by attending a free update session hosted by TMF on Thursday, April 30 at 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Central Daylight Time. Providers do not need to register in advance. You can join the event by using the following link.
