(Louisville, KY) June 17, 2014 – Deyta, LLC announced today the introduction of a FastStart program, a rapid onboarding process, for its new Quality Actionboards to offer hospices a last minute solution for capturing, measuring, and reporting Hospice Item Set (HIS) data. As part of the CMS Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP), all Medicare-certified hospices will be required to report the HIS data elements for all patients admitted on or after July 1, 2014.

Kevin Porter, President and CEO of Deyta, comments, “With the deadline looming and failure to comply carrying a reduction in APU, many hospices are in panic mode. With our Quality Actionboards solution and depth of experience assisting home health and hospice agencies overcome regulatory challenges, hospices can rest assured when partnered with us.”

Deyta’s Quality Actionboards provide hospices a streamlined solution for capturing, validating, and submitting the HIS to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This web-based, HIPAA-compliant system can be configured to integrate with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to import the HIS data, but can also meet the manual-entry needs of paper-based hospices. Hospices that partner with Deyta benefit from efficiency gains associated with streamlined data validation, automated XML file generation, and as allowed by CMS guidelines, submission of the HIS data elements by Deyta on behalf of clients. In addition to HIS compliance, hospices benefit from a robust suite of performance reports for the NQF-endorsed measures and other industry-vetted outcome measures to drive QAPI success and elevate patient care.

Based upon the specific needs of a hospice, the FastStart Program encompasses an implementation plan and timeline that when adopted fully by the hospice, ensures compliance with CMS requirements beginning July 1. Hospices looking for a solution to streamline HIS data capture are encouraged to attend one of Deyta’s upcoming webinars showcasing Quality Actionboards and the FastStart program.
