Home Health CAHPS Honors and Honors Elite Awards
For more than 10 years, HEALTHCAREfirst has recognized home health agencies that continuously provide quality care as measured from the patient’s experiences and perspectives. The award acknowledges the highest performing agencies by analyzing the performance of Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) satisfaction measures.
These awards define a new standard of excellence in the patient care and experience for home health agencies. Identifying the top-performers is our way of recognizing home health agencies that are dedicated to providing a high quality of care in a patient-centric approach. The resulting patient experience is a key driver of ongoing patient and agency success.
Award recipients are identified by evaluating performance on a set of nineteen satisfaction indicator measures. Individual agency performance scores were aggregated for the evaluation period and were compared on a question-by-question basis to a national average score calculated from partnering home health agencies contained in HEALTHCAREfirst‘s HHCAHPS database. For an agency to be considered for this award, they must have scored above the HEALTHCAREfirst National Average on the HHCAHPS “Willingness to Recommend” question. They also must score above this national average on at least 85%, or seventeen, of the evaluated questions.
We hold a special recognition, the Home Health Honors Elite Award, to honor those agencies scoring above the HEALTHCAREfirst National Average on 100%, or all nineteen, of the evaluated questions.
