Hospice CAHPS Honors Awards
Celebrating hospice agencies for going above and beyond for their patients and caregivers
Since 2012, the Hospice CAHPS Honors and Honors Elite Awards have recognized hospice agencies that continuously provide the highest in quality patient care and compassionate caregivers experiences. The award acknowledges the highest performing agencies by analyzing the performance of the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) satisfaction and quality measures.
These awards define a new standard of excellence for patient care and caregiver experience in the hospice industry. Identifying the top-performers is our way of recognizing those that are dedicated to providing a high quality of care in a patient-centric approach. The resulting patient and caregiver experience is a key driver of ongoing agency success.
To be considered for the Hospice CAHPS Honors Award, the hospice agency must have scored above the HEALTHCAREfirst National Performance Score on the Hospice CAHPS Willingness to Recommend question. With that question as a qualifier for award consideration, performance is evaluated utilizing a set of 23 additional quality indicator measures. These scores are then compared on a question-by-question basis to a national performance score calculated from all partnering hospices. Special recognition, Honors Elite, is awarded to those hospices that score above the national performance score on 100%, or all twenty four, of the evaluated questions.
