(Louisville, KY – April 18, 2013)  HEALTHCAREfirst‘s Deyta LLC, an industry leader in data driven management, is excited to introduce Hospice Honors, a program that recognizes hospice agencies providing the best patient care as rated by the patient’s caregiver satisfaction.

“Hospice Honors defines a new standard of excellence in the patient/family experience for hospice agencies,” says Liz Silva, Director of Hospice, “Identifying these top‐performing hospices is our way of recognizing organizations that have demonstrated high quality of care to both patients and caregivers. That positive family experience is a key driver of ongoing patient‐focused care and overall agency success.”

Established by Deyta, this prestigious annual honor recognizes the top 100 agencies that continuously provide the highest level of satisfaction through their care as measured from the caregiver’s point of view.

Deyta used the Family Evaluation of Hospice Care (FEHC) survey results from over 1,200 partnering hospice agencies contained in its FEHC database with an evaluation period of January through December 2012.Qualifications for consideration included agencies that had at least ten surveys returned and partnered with Deyta for the entire evaluation period. The five questions identified by Deyta as key drivers of caregiver satisfaction were the basis of the Hospice Honors calculations. Hospice Honors acknowledges the highest performing agencies rankedby analyzing calculations made using satisfaction scores during the twelve‐month evaluation period.

A full list of 2013 Hospice Honors recipients will be released at Deyta’s Hospice Honors Celebration to be held April 25th at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s Management and Leadership Conference at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, Exhibit Booth #428, in National Harbor, Maryland.
