- Each day, your hospice will provide a list of patients for coding.
- Your coder will securely access your EMR to code each assessment appropriately to maximize reimbursement. Assessments are typically returned by the end of the next business day.
- Once the assessments are coded, you will receive a confirmation that coding is complete. You can then log into your software to view the assessments and process for reimbursement.
- If HEALTHCAREfirst also manages your hospice billing, our coding services and billing services teams will communicate with each other to resolve denials related to coding.
