May 1st | 2:00 pm ET / 1:00 pm CT | FREE! | REGISTER
Presented by Deanna Loftus, HEALTHCAREfirst’s Director of Regulatory Compliance and Regulatory Consultant Mary St. Pierre, RN, BSN, MGA,

In March 2018, CMS released the draft of the latest version of the OASIS data set, OASIS-D. Modifications are being made to OASIS in order to comply with the IMPACT Act, to reduce data collection burden, and to improve formatting throughout the document. CMS is seeking approval from the Office of Management and Budget for a January 1, 2019 implementation date.

Please join HEALTHCAREfirst as we provide an overview of the revisions being made to the OASIS data set, including:

  • Addition of six new standardized items
  • The removal of 28 OASIS questions that will no longer be assessed.
  • Modification to M1311 to support a new standardized pressure ulcer measure.
  • Addition of responses to M1028, M1311, M2102 and removal of responses to M2310.
  • Review of additional changes to OASIS

You will not want to miss this 90-minute educational webinar to learn about all the extensive changes and how they will impact your clinicians’ documentation and assessment practices.

Hosted by Accreditation Commission for Health Care

OASIS is the core of what we do in homecare – determining reimbursement, driving the plan of care, and giving you overall patient outcomes! Never before has OASIS taken on such a critical role, as this is the root of the Star Ratings and VBP that home health agencies are now measured by. Since it relates directly to improving your patient’s outcomes, it is essential that all clinicians and Managers in agencies have an understanding of how to perform assessments, the Medicare intent and guidance for M items, and what to do to improve outcomes!

This class will focus on:

  • Outcomes reported in CASPER reports & HH Compare
  • How you can impact your scores through OASIS and assessments
  • Increase in your outcomes – and increase your 5 Star Rating and outcomes for VBP!
